「玳瑁瓷」是佘山窑致敬古法制瓷工艺的代表作：在素白瓷胎之上还原出深海玳瑁龟甲般斑驳灵动的纹理。釉色交融自然，褐金与墨黑相间，如同凝固的流光——既带着古窑的朴拙厚重，又兼具当代审美的华丽雅致。

The “Hawksbill” (玳瑁瓷) series is Sheshan Kiln's homage to classical glaze craft: mottled, fluid patterning like deep-sea hawksbill shell, where brown-gold and ink-black fuse into frozen light — the rustic weight of an old kiln with a contemporary elegance.

关于佘山窑 / About Sheshan Kiln
佘山窑坐落于上海松江佘山，以佘山脚下的原生泥土为基底，搭配山间草木燃烧后的灰烬调制釉料，经手工拉坯、手捏技法成型，在 1280℃ 以上的智能电窑中烧制，尽显“取之于山、用之于器”的生态智慧。
Sheshan Kiln is based at the foot of Sheshan in Songjiang, Shanghai. Its glaze is built on local Sheshan clay blended with plant ash; every piece is hand-thrown or hand-pinched and fired at 1,280 °C+ in a digitally controlled electric kiln — sourcing from the mountain, shaping into ware.

制作周期 / Making Period
自然阴干 3–5 天 · 初次素烧 3 天 · 二次釉烧第 4 天出窑，整器周期约 7–9 天。
Air-dried for 3–5 days, bisque-fired, then glaze-fired — roughly 7–9 days from clay to finished piece.

说明 / Notes
手工制品存在细微差异，釉面纹理、尺寸与色泽以实物为准；每件皆为独一无二的孤品。
Handmade: slight variations in glaze, size and colour are inherent to the making; each piece is one of a kind.

Handmade note
Fired in small batches at 1280°C from Sheshan native clay. Glaze flow, speckles and tone vary piece to piece — the photo shows this exact vessel family, not a factory standard. Lead time 7–9 days for made-to-order work.

Hand wash with mild soap; avoid sudden temperature changes. Untagged interiors may develop a patina over years of tea — potters call this the glaze's memory.

Our glazes are mixed in-studio from Sheshan clay and the ash of mountain brushwood, following recipes we have tested batch after batch. This is why the same series never fires the same way twice.
